The 2026 Festival of Weiners was held in Vergas during Looney Days Saturday, Aug. 1. Crowds filled the stands at the Vergas baseball field to watch the short-legged pups race down the track with varying degrees of success.
Between the easily distracted weiner dogs and the inevitable double-entendre-laced calls from event organizer and announcer Digger Anderson, it’s safe to say: a great time was had by all.
